I love the experience I have every time I visit Ideal Smiles. I just went into the office with my daughter, and I was extremely pleased with all of the precautions that were in place in response to Covid-19. Everyone was wearing a mask, it is extremely clean, and the Dentist and her assistant had special masks that they were using (along with special air filters) during our visit. Upon arrival, our temperatures were taken and sanitizer was provided in every room. I am glad that they are open and making sure that the staff and patients are safe. Thank you, Ideal Smiles!

Long review summed up, amazing experience thoroughly felt safe going in right now! Thanks Dr Zahir and staff! I shared my experience with Dr Zahir here and on the Cedar Road Dental page as I genuinely appreciate what her team has done to help during this pandemic. ------- I cracked a tooth at the beginning of this whole lock down thing. I had an appointment with my dentist for a cleaning the next week, but they canceled it and told me to call back when it gets painful. I get it. It's hard to see patience, but tooth infections are actually very dangerous. I babied the tooth, and then three weeks later pain started. I wasn't going to wait any longer and I googled for dentists. I found Dr Zahir / Cedar Road Dentist / Ideal Smiles. The website was insanely helpful. I filled everything out, and got a call back (something unheard of from my experience in the area - normally doing anything online results in becoming last priority). I was scheduled as soon as possible for an exam at the Ideal Smiles location in Virginia Beach. I was called before-hand and told about expectations for COVID-19 safety. I went in about 20 minutes early in my mask. I was handed a sanitized pen, and clipboard with the paperwork. I filled everything out and even my copy of ID etc was handed back to me sanitized and cleaned. I have honestly never encountered a thoroughly clean and sanitized waiting space. And even better - the office staff was so kind and polite. They were understanding of my situation, and worked with me during some pretty severe special circumstances. The hygienist who was helping and Dr Zahir came in with full PPE gear on, and I am so grateful to them for being so thoroughly careful. There was never a time I felt at risk. I left with a referral for an endodontist, and instruction to follow up asap for a crown. My experience with endodontist was satisfactory, but definitely held no candle to the care and disease prevention Dr Zahir and her team uphold. I went back today for my crown. This time at the Cedar Road location, and again the level of care, sanitation, and safety during this time is commendable. I appreciate how seriously they are taking this situation as my son is immunocompromised. As for the dental care, she was thorough and kind and patient. The work was on a far back tooth, and it was at an odd angle. Dr Zahir was super patient and explained thoroughly what was going on for me. I struggled quite a bit with my own anxiety around dental work, but she was so patient and careful and kind. I genuinely appreciate her professionalism.

I recently moved to VA Beach and needed to find a new dentist and I was a little nervous because I had some less than great experiences with other dentists in the past. Dr. Shabana Zahir turned out to be fantastic, excellent and incredibly gentle dentist. Dr. Shabana listens to her patients and does not recommend unnecessary dental procedures that many other dental providers talk their patients into because the dental provider receives the profit. She answered every question I had been very accommodating and easy to work with. Unlike other places I've been, I've always felt welcome at her office by her and her team. I have a great deal of respect for Dr. Shabana and her staff and her dental office is also very beautiful and creates a relaxing ambience prior to any procedure being performed and I have to say, the results of my treatment have been fantastic so far. If you need a dentist, I wouldn't hesitate to call Dr. Shabana Zahir- She's awesome!

Just moved here from Idaho 2 months ago due to husband PCS and needed to find a dentist. From the moment I walked into the door the staff was friendly and professional. My old dentist in Idaho obviously wasn’t doing his job correctly because I had cavities and one that was getting really bad. She saw me same day for my fillings and it was so nice! She is such a nice dentist and I felt like even though she was busy she still made time for me and explained everything to me and answered any of my questions.

I walked in on a FRIDAY for a root canal after being stood up by another dentist. They were able to perform not one, but two root canals while being EXTREMELY patient and caring as I literally had a panic attack. Awesome customer service!

I have been going to this dentist since last year July, and from the moment I walked in I felt at peace and when I met Dr. Shabana Zahir I felt the the passion she has for her job. Today was a big day for my smile and although we are not done with our work, I am in love with the outcome. I have never had a bad experience with any of the staff they are so loving and understanding and really strive to make you feel comfortable. There were a few times where I did have to wait a little longer then normal when it got busy but I would never walk away or complain because the work they do and the service you will receive is totally worth it. Dr. Zahir is a perfectionist and I love that I would absolutely recommend her and her office. I will definitely be going back to complete my work.

I had my first dental check up today in 6 years and am I glad I chose to ideal smiles dentistry! I needed quite some work done but they assured me everything will be okay and I’m in great hands and I was. This dentistry is professional, clean and has a great atmosphere. Dr. Zahir and her staff is amazing! She is incredibly gentle and very patient! I was very impressed how quickly they got me in being a new patient that needed a cleaning, X-rays, and fillings. She is also open every other Saturday which really helps people that normally can't make their appointments during the week. The best customer service I’ve ever experienced!!! They were so quick on treating my failed root canal. What would take weeks to get checked on by other dentist, idea smiles was fast on treating me. Very clean, professional. The ladies were very nice and made sure to make me feel comfortable. I went on a saturday, their busiest day, but was seen right on time. I hadn't been to the dentist in years, so even though I was nervous, they were very good to me, and not judgemental. I did not spend a lot of time with the main Dr., but she was precise and to the point. Efficient. I will be returning to have my tooth pulled and I am glad I will be going there to do. My insurance doesn't cover much, but their prices are reasonable, and it is worth paying for the proper care and people who want to ensure your comfort and least amount of pain. Thanks ladies!

I have had multiple visits at Ideal Smiles Dentistry. Each visit with Dr. Zahir and her team have been very pleasant. If I had any questions, concerns, discomforts or comments the team was ready and willing to provide any adjustments needed and answer any questions. I began treatment here while I was pregnant with my son last year. I had to have 2 root canals done during that time. Doc was wonderful and so was all her staff. I wouldn't have thought to take my son anywhere else for his very first trip to the dentist. They were very sweet and made him comfortable. I couldn't ask for a better dental practice. Love them!

I went there last tuesday to get checked out because I was in so much pain. I went in and had 20 x-rays on my mouth and they said I needed a deep clean to correct the problem. I went that friday and had part 1 of the deep clean performed. Crystal was very professional and I felt no pain.

Absolutely amazing!!!!!!! I being a business owner myself am always on lookout for how another great company does business weird right? Stay with me and I'll explain as I was gripped in horrible pain all through the night Jan 24 2017 I was looking for any remedy from homeopathic to voodoo for all I cared! Point is I researched everything and emergency dentist services came up and I found my miracle. I noticed hours of office thought well a couple more hours and just maybe, fingers crossed I put in for an online appointment saying asap assuming nothing; never have I ever been so glad to be wrong! They called me promptly at opening and I was in door 30 minutes later I can't make this up! I felt like an ice pick was in my tooth working it's way up to my brain! They took time to listen to me, addressed my concerns and could have charged me anything and I would have agreed! The most astonishing part was the very reasonable cost of my surgical extraction, the sincere concern the Dr and her entire staff showed and they kept apologizing to me for any delay, irony being at my former regular dentist everything would have taken longer with a prearranged appointment long in place. Anyways I could go on and on but do yourself a favor and go see Ideal Smiles Dentistry and you will get a whole new perspective on dentists!!!!!! Ty again everyone!!!!!!

Hi all. I was experiencing extreme tooth pain on a Friday when many dentist offices are closed. I called around to see if any dentist office that was open would help me. Keep in mind that this was late in the afternoon on a Friday, not to mention that I suffer from severe dental phobia. Not only was Ideal Smiles, located at 367 Independence Blvd across from Pembroke Mall, open, but they squeezed me in during an already busy day. Although they do not have nitrous oxide, Dr. Zahir, Ashley and staff were able to make me feel comfortable enough to go through an emergency root canal without it. I highly recommend them for all your dental needs and I will be a customer for life.

Dr. Zahir is very friendly and knowledgeable. She taught me something new about the deep pockets around the teeth. Ashley and Alyssa are sweethearts, gentle, and very kind. They are genuine and one of the most down-to-earth persons you will ever meet. The staffs at the front desk are super funny! Everyone remembers my name in one visit, and they always give me sincere smiles. :) The place itself is super nice. They have TVs, magazines, etc. I have had wonderful times on my visits. What I like most about this place is simply the fact that they interacted with me, while they were cleaning my teeth. Dr. Zahir and entire staff of Ideal Smiles are very polite and fun. Everytime I come to my appointment, there is no dull moment. I love how they joke around each other, making the whole expirience light and fun as possible. I love Joy and Ashley as my DA and along with Dr. Z, them 3 will just make you smile and laugh.
